All Kenyans living in Egypt, Kingdom of Morocco, Tunisia, Democratic People’s Republic of Algeria, State of Eritrea and Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan are advised to register with the Embassy.

Complete the necessary Registration Form, and post or fax to us.

CONSULAR SERVICES

Kenyan nationals have access to the following Consular Services:-

  1. Processing of applications for New Kenya Passport, renewals and issuing of Emergency Certificates and Certificates of identity.
  2. Repatriation of Kenyans in distress.
  3. Registration of births and deaths of Kenyans, in the region.
  4. Issuing of Licences for Importation of pets to Kenya, on behalf of the Director of Veterinary Services.
  5. Legalization and certification of documents.
  6. Giving of information on matters concerning marriage in Kenya.
  7. Issuing of visas to prospective visitors to Kenya.

ISSUANCE OF KENYAN PASSPORTS

The Kenya Immigration Services issues four (4) types of passports namely:

  1. 'A' Series 32 pages
  2. 'B' Series 48 pages
  3. 'C' Series 64 pages
  4. 'Diplomatic passport' 48 pages
  5. The above passports are issued valid for 10 years.The 'A' series which is used by many Kenyans fills up very fast before the expiry of ten (10) years.Passport applicants particulalrly Frequent travellers and kenyans in the Diaspora are encouraged to apply for 'B' and 'C' series to avoid frequent replacements of fille up passports.
    NOTE:
    Passports which were issued for 5 yrs remain valid until their expiry date,but will not be extended by being endorsed.

NEW PASSPORT (AFTER TEN YEARS)

  1. Complete Form PP.1, Download here or PP.2 (® for children under sixteen years of age), Download here, and submit:-
  2. Your current passport
  3. Four passport size photographs (full face, showing both ears)
  4. Copies of Birth Certificate and Residence Permit

Give your postal and residential address IN FULL, home and work telephone numbers.

  •  Issue of a New Kenya Passport, a must after 10 years, i.e., on the second application for renewal.

LOST PASSPORT

  1. Complete Form PP.1 and submit the following:-
  2. Three passport size photographs (full face, showing both ears)-Follow these Guidelines.
  3. A copy of Birth Certificate
  4. A copy of the Police Abstract stating the circumstances in which the passport was lost.
  5. A copy of Residence Permit or Student’s Card, if you are a student.
  6. A letter explaining how passport got lost.

Give your postal and residential address IN FULL, home and work telephone numbers.

CERTIFICATE OF IDENTITY (C.I.N.)

Maximum period of a C.I.N. is two years (see sample).

Issued to children under seven years, and, in rare cases to adults.

  1. CompleteForm PP.2 and submit:-
  2. Three recent photographs - 1 by 1.5".
  3. Parents’ passport in which child’s name was previously endorsed.
  4. Proof of father’s nationality,if child is born outside Kenya.
