KENYA NATIONAL GOLF TEAM IN CAIRO

The Kenya National Golf team was in Cairo from 27th September to 3rd August, 2009 to participate in the Africa Amateur Golf team Championships. The team of eight included players, a coach and officials and were led by Mr. Samson Ndegwa, Chairman of Kenya Golf Union. Thirteen Countries participated in the championships that saw Kenya emerge second overall. The Kenyan team put up a spirited performance and came a close second behind South Africa who were crowned winners. The Embassy received the team in Cairo and the Ambassador hosted them to a luncheon at his residence on Saturday 3rd October where he congratulated them for their good performance in the championship.
